Eczema:

What is Eczema?

Eczema is a family of chronic skin conditions that causes the skin to become swollen, irritated, patchy red, cracked and itchy. Eczema can manifest itself in different levels of severity – from mild irritation to severe forms that require medical attention. Atopic dermatitis is the most common form of eczema which mainly effects children but it can continue into adulthood or start later in life.

Diaper rash and the rash that many people get after coming into contact with poison ivy are other common types of eczema.
